Nick Zimmerman is a registered architect (RA) licensed in the State of Indiana with over two decades of practical experience in the profession. He is a member of the Association of Licensed Architects (ALA) and is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) for reciprocity in jurisdictions outside of Indiana.

Nick has been with Heartland Design since 2002 and assumed the role of managing principal in 2017. He remains as the sole owner of the company after the retirement of previous owners Jim Cordell in 2017 and Henry Toebes in 2024.

Nick completed a 5-year architecture program through Ball State University's nationally acclaimed College of Architecture and Planning, earning a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design. He graduated with honors and other recognition.
